I would like to add a couple cherry shrimp but don't know if they will eat my corys ? Would it be ok ?

They will not eat your corydoras, but other fish may eat the cherry shrimp. What's your full stock and tank size? Have you planted the tank at all?

I have platys, silver dollars , an bloodfin tetras ,all fake plants ,29 gal tank
Thanks for your input .

All of those fish would snack on young shrimp & the dollars would take adult shrimp.
Silver dollars grow quite big, around 6" so will need a bigger tank than 29 gallons

Chances are, if the shrimps will fit in any of these platies or tetras mouth then, yes, they will eat your shrimps.
Silver dollars grow quite big and will easily eat adult shrimps.

But red cherry shrimps definitely will not eat any fish.

shrimp will only snack on dead fish and not living, always other way around as shrimp are at the bottom of the food chain to almost all types of fish :)
