I also vote yes. I have a common wooden bookshelf holding a 10g on the top of it, and a typical kitchen counter is much stronger than that.

Definately, but I might be a bit of a girl (who prizes her kitchen space lol)... I don't think I could handle a tank in the kitchen. A big kitchen maybe, but... yeah nope I just tried to visualize it and I just couldn't do it haha.

well, I did it. It's about 8-10" from my sink, and I had little counter space as it was, so now I have no room for dirty dishes to pile up! LOL
I'll post some pix when I decide exactly what is going in it.
