Last 2 weeks has been a nightmare.
I lost more fish than in last 8 month.
Started with Ich that came with my last glass catfish that killed one of my neon Rainbows (RIP), right after that now I have one of my dwarf neon gouramis struggling a losing battle with Dropsy, on top of that I just came home to perfectly health Platy on his back (RIP).
In my other tank (10gal), I lost 3 African dwarf frogs, 1 cristal red shrimp and 1 bamboo shrimp. All this in just 2 weeks. I do my water changes religiously every week, and my stats have been normal. I'm losing my mind here.....

ok i dont know much about fish but .... my friend had the same thing happen in his 10g... he had 2 african dwarf frogs and two zebra danios.... the frogs got a weird white spot on em that kept growing and killed em within hours and then it moved onto the fish and killed them within a few hours. ... so he thuroughly cleaned the tank added fresh water... .cycled it again without fish... asked the pet store people for help... they sold him the same thing again.... 2 dwarf frogs and 2 danios... the same thing happened again... it only took about a week for the frog to get sick each time... the 2nd time it only killed one frog... and all the fish. so he kept the one living frog and got a betta fish.... all of a sudden the same thing happened... frog got a white spot and within 4 hours it was completely covered in a think white goo.... then the betta started getting all kinds of white spots and died...

we thought it was ich and treated for it but the fish and frogs all died before the treatment had time to take affect :(

Thanks

Have you tryed a bacterial med.
Parasites can cause bacterial infections.

Long stringy white poo can be consitpation, bacterial, internal parasites.

I used some antibacterial meds from Jungle pharm.. at first sigh of dropsy. But i stopped after 3 days (it might have helped) and changed the carbon to clear it.

PS: Finally some good news, my gourami no longer looks like pine-cone and bloating slowly goes away (his still quiet bloated), he actually ate some today after 4 days of barely moving and no eating at all.

Did you cut the med to short.
Epson salt baths to help draw the fluids out and a bacterial med.

Well, i cut the meds on the 4th day as per instructions, also i tried salt baths by gradually adding salt, but before i reached 5ml per 3 gallon every fish was gasping for air so i end up doing 30% water change.
His still somewhat bloated and have a stringy white poo but his a lot more active today and actually fought for food and ate some more today.
I'm so happy i waited few more days, last week when he was suffering and looked like a bloated pine-cone i was actually looking for humane ways of putting him out of his misery (didn't have a heart to do it).

Ok.
I would still do another round of the bacterial med.
