she is my favourite fish and now she is gravid - she has the little black spot and is very fat so I assume she will give birth soon. my problem is I dont want lots of babies so do I let them all get eaten? im not keen on this.

anothe,r more pressing issue is that my sister had two mollies who died soon after giving birth - i dont want her to die so what can i do? the mollies went very quiet and then died.

I agree..
The best thing to do is just leave her well alone to give birth in the main tank. That way most will be eaten and if you find a few you can maybe put them in a breeder net, just in case she does have problems with the birth . She will do much better in the main tank just left to it........no change = no stress = better chance of a problem free delivery and happy mum at the end of it. :flex:

Some fish stores will take the fry from you, some wil even pay you for them.
