My female krib went missing for a few days last week, I caught a glimsp of her in the cave and thought she had laid eggs, however on Friday she came out for food and her eye was massive and bulging out. I immediately removed her from the main tank and put her in my hospital tank. I have been doing about 5% water change daily and treating with melafix. She is responding really well as all her gold markings have come back on her head and the swelling has gone down in her eye and mouth, but there is some fungus now behind the eye. I am guessing he had caught it somewhere. However I have done a water change tonight and cleaned out some uneaten food and she hasnt swam away from my hand at all. She is swimming about but keeps bumping into the glass and the cave I put in for her to hide in. Her one eye looks clear, but the one that was bulging out is hard to discribe. Imaginge looking down a shiny metal tube, it sort of looks like that? I have tried getting a picture but it doesnt show up. She will feed from my hand but doesnt seem to be able to find food on her own.

Really worried!

All the fungus has gone this morning but her eye is really cloudy. Still treating with melafix.

If she pulls through should I re-introduce her to the main tank if she has lost her site? worried because of the male krib. I could put her in my sons tank, dont know what to do for the best?

Thanks Wilder, that link was really usefull. I can relax a little now.
Thank you

Did a water change as you suggested and added internal bacteria med by interpet sadly she was dead within an hour.

RIP Lady

Edit: The above sounds horried, its not directed at your recommendation Wilder, she just must have been sicker than she looked. Thanks for your help though.

Bless Her. R.I.P.
