Worried About Danios

greetings all.
i'm writing to ask about my 3 remaining danios in my new tank. i started with 6 and after first night i found 1 dead and 1 just plain missing. everything was ok then for 2 weeks and then yesterday i came home from work having seen the remaining 4 seemingly all well the evening before to find only 3 left. this time there was what appeared to be mostly eaten carcass and one of the remaining 3 seemed to be hiding up by the filter. today all 3 remaining are just hiding up by the filter. any thoughts or advice?

are the danios the only fish in your tank??
What are your water stats?

Size of tank in gallons or lites.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

When my danio's were up by the filter i went o shop and checked my water and found there had been an amonia spike(is that the right term?) so check your water!

ps did you find the missing one?
