Can someone confirm if this is anchor worm please? On the fin and the body. No other fish showing any signs!
I have ordered NT Labs anti fluke and wormer ready to use, but would like a couple more opinions please if possible.

And just got this one which shows it better, especially on the pelvic fin

It doesn't look quite right for anchor worm, and the thing on the fin in the last photo isn't anchor worm - that one looks more like Dermosporidia/Dermocystidium (both names are used). Research shows no-one really knows what the cause is (fungus? parasite?) and not knowing what it is makes it difficult to use the right treatment.

Thanks, thats a good spot. I've never heard of it. But looking at pics it is almost certainly that, especially given its known to affect emperor tetras!

Will monitor and consider using melafix to reduce the risk of any secondary infections.

I once had a cardinal tetra with it, that's why I recognised it :)

It's definitely not anchorworm and looks a lot like Dermosporidia (as mentioned by Essjay).

If you have a deworming medication, deworm all the tanks at the same time and see what happens. At the very least you can be sure the fish won't have intestinal worms afterwards.

Deworm the tanks once a week for 4 weeks and keep us updated. You might find the cure for it. :)
