Hello there,

I wanted to ask a general question to see if anyone could help out....

Last night I noticed a number (6-10) small "worms" making there way along the front and sides of my aquarium. They were white, moved fairly quickly and were between 0.25cm to 1.5cm in length. I check this morning and they were still moving around, over the gravel this time though.

Does anyone know what they are? Where they come from? And if they are good / bad / harmless to my aquarium.

thanks,

Ed

While I don't know what they are, someone else will for sure.

They most likely "hitch-hiked" in with plants. I found some fairly dodgy looking creatures after I bought some new plants recently.

Sounds like it could be planaria,

although when I was struck they were fairly small and I solved it fast,

if it is what I believe it is,
the main cause if OVER FEEDING,

any uneaten food MUST be removed and do a water change Minimum every 2 days with like 20% or so,
eventually they will starve to death,
