so can anyone tell me what these things are?? and does anyone no if they would be harmful to guppies?? and if so how can i get rid of them?? thanx for any help :good:

they could just be fly lave,

do they look like blood worm or anything???

pop one in a sealed box and see what happens to it if it develops into a fly you know somethings been laying eggs in the tank

Have you been feeding any live foods.

no i havent been feeding live food, we emtied the tank out about a week ago and started it up again. I did leave the tank outside for a couple of days then rinsed it out before i set it up again but there was a couple of small spiders that somehow was in the hood of the tank but i caught them, could they have anything to do with it?? i went to my LFS today and he said that he didnt no what they were but if i added a couple of guppies to the tank they would eat them, would that work?

I'd contain them in say a plastic box or something with a lid on to see what they frow into.

Just out of curoiosity, what fish are in that tank?

there isnt any fish in the tank yet, i only set it back up a week ago, but my LFS has told me that if i put some guppies in the tank they'd eat them

may be its just a mosquito larva! :look:
i also hav them in my tank and my guppies eat it! and i used a parasites treatment to my tank just in case! we never know wat will happen! so just 2 be safe! gud luk!

you could always get a peacock spiny eel, they eat anything worm-like, and theyre community....ish :)
