Unless you are pulling our legs. I think you are- a crowntail betta from WalMart costs as much as that, that dosen't make sense. You can't fool a danio lover- we're sharp!

what do you plan on doing with the babies if breeding takes off? just sell them on or are there any conservation projects, aquariums etc who would take them to use to get the wild populations back up?

I would sell some of the fry on.
I'm will probably contact Pete Cottle and or Paul Rowntree (kerripaul) with regards any conservation projects,
if anyone will know about such things, they will.
