Wood In Tank

Is it ok if I put any piece of wood in my fish tank or do I have to do something white it first before putting it in ?

You don't have to do anything. But boiling it is suggested, otherwise it tends to color your water a little brown.

As long as it's not wood from a poisonous tree or something is should be fine. If it's from the outdoors I would definitely recommend boiling it. Also some wood floats and it may take a while for it to sink.

Oh! I forgot to mention, but it's best to take the bark off if you can. Also make sure it is dead wood, not green live stuff.

exactly...as long as its good and dead...if its a fresh branch it will rot in your tank...
