Hi, i have 2 neons in my tank with some guppies and cories however the 2 neons are on a wonk...

they are on about a nearly a 35 degree angle off normal, but only these 2 fish are affected. one of them is twitching every fin in time with each breath which just looks bizzar!

any ideas what it can be? they look fine apart from these symptoms and up until yesterday have been eating fine. i have done water tests and everything has come back fine.

Are they laboured breathing and flicking on objects, also fish with parasites will look uncomfortable as though sonething is irratating them, have you added any live plants or fish to the tank in the last week.
Also neons should not be kept in no less than a group of six as they are shoaling fish.
Also have you just done a water change as that can sometimes make fish abit twitchy.

they seem to be breathing faster than usual. but not flicking against anything, just fin twitching while staying still. they are not swimming around as much as usual, and dont stay together any more like they used to. nothing or noone has been added to the tank and the regulation of my water changes has stayed the same as always.
they were bought for me by a friend. an unwanted gift unfortunately as i did not really have room for them and appreciate that they should be kept in larger groups, however the friend did not and for some reason was not advised by the lfs so there they are. they have been happy for months though. its just the past 2 days things are looking weird.

Right check the red stripe to see if it's still it brillant red, you could be coming down with a parasite, but it hard to say at the moment.
