Hey everyone :)

I was just wondering what happens if you get 2 angels and they aint a pair (2 M's or 2 F's)? Do they just stay as friends or become agressive when they mature?

Also do you think my tank is too small for angels?

Its is 22 gallons and is 18" high it becomes longer at the top so there is more room for mid-high swimmers like angels...

Only thing that would be in there would be 6 concolor cory cats...

If not i'll stick with the german rams :good:

22 gallons is not enough for angels when they grow to be adults. Unless the tank is intended for angel breeding only. Therefore, if you want to put 2 angels in there, they must be a confirmed breeding pair. Not just 2 angels that are male and female, which you hope to breed. Otherwise, if you attempt to put 2 angels in there, there will be allot of fighting due to territorial disputes. If they were kept in a larger tank, there would be not too many fights, since there is sufficient room for them to swim in their areas.

I bought 2 small Angels about a year and a half ago and they have been perfectly fine together. They haven't bred at all so I don't think that they are a pair. This is in a 29 gallon though.

I had 6 Angels in a 400 litre.
They were OK for a about a year, then the fighting started.one was killed outright and another died soon after.
I now have 3 in the 400l, 2 in the 240l.
None of these angels bred sucessfully, though there were eggs.

I bought 2 small 50p size marbles to replace the other two. That was 4 months ago.
Now they have paired and managed to hatch their brood.

Angels, who can tell ?
