Wonder If We'll Ever Get These In Teh Hobby

What's the point of the backwards Got Fish? in your profile?

And that fish would be pretty lame. They would get sucked into the filter!

You can modify a filter pretty easily. I've kept smaller fry than that in a tank with pretty heavy filtration - I clogged up the inlet and outlet with floss and covered the intake slats with gauze.

They're so cute! I bet they'd look really nice in a humungous school in a nano (like one of my 2.5 gal cuties.)

Cool fish. Sounds as though their water requirements might be something we couldn't match. To me, very acidic would mean 5.0 or below but maybe that's not the case. If the adult fish is only 1/3 inch long, can you imagine how small the fry are? They'd look like dust particles.

but, they wouldnt be able to eat their fry if their mouths are that small
you'd probably be stuck feeding the parents Baby Brine Shrimp for thier entire lives!

rdd: that article says that in the wild they live in a pH of about 3

kribensis12: I'm sure powdered flake foods intended for fry would be ok. So long as they take dry processed foods.

Would be cool to have a massive shoal of them IMO :)

yea, I was thinking a massive shoal too. lol
You can bet they wouldn't be tearing up your plants, ha.

groovi, what's the point of you keeping a fish tank?
I'd say you wanted one, just like I wanted to spell got fish backwards.

To get a pH of 3, instead of using water, you'd have to use vinegar.
