One of my marble mollies had furnished me with fry !!

didnt even know she was pregnant ! I could only see about 7 fry in there, so netted them all out sharpish and plopped them in my nursery tank, before i had to leave for work. Hopefully there will be more there when i get home !!

HAPPY DAYS !

i guess it is happy days!!!! well done, lets jus hope thel live!!!!

keep us posted!!

Lucifer :D

I'm sure they will... i had a new years day birth of 16 silver mollies, and i netted them all out, straight into the nursery tank, and all 16 are still going strong :)

Up until today i thought that the silvers hadnt brown that much, until i put the new marble fry in and i noticed the size difference !

awwww lots of bubbies then, well 'mummy' hope all goes well

Lucifer xx

erm, i'll phone you taxi !!

im actually hoping to get home and find some more... i think 7 is quite a low number for a molly, so im just hoping that they were all hiding in the plant, or been sucked into my internal filter where i can rescue them from when i get home.

Bit worried though that they might have been sucked in to my internal filter.... i dont think they would survive much in there, do you?

Lucky you. I got two marbled mollies back at the start of december and they got fatter and fatter and I was sure they were pregnant, but then it seemed like it had been going on too long so I just thought they were fat! Then on Saturday I noticed they were looking much thinner but I couldn't see any fry. yesterday I found a couple in my filter and there are no other ones about - think they got eaten :-(

How kind of you. :p

Most fry don't do so well in a filter, but it depends where the impeller (And otehr components, depending on the brand) lie. Some are pretty exposed, in which case the fry don't stand much of a chance, but they could live a bit longer in one where the impeller and other components aren't open. I've washed out my Whisper internal many times to find fry in there, so it's definitely possible for them to live. :)

yeah, cool. i checked my internal last night and there werent any in there. however, i am going to buy a sponge today for my external sucker pipe end thingy so as to prevent anymore being sucked out :)
