I had my Juwel Rekord 70 on an old MDF cabinet for a while, but it was beginning to warp and I was worried about it's strength and whether it would damage the tank.
So, I bought a Juwel Rekord self-assembly stand. I emptied the water out of the tank (took me an hour or two just to catch my plec!) and moved the tank onto the stand. Although on the box it said Juwel Rekord 60 stand, the shop-owner who I know and trust well told me it would be fine. It fits the tank fine and the tank does not go off the edge at all. I did assemble it correctly (I hope!) and the tank still looks strong, however I have realised that when I walk past the tank it wobbles slightly- only very slightly. A slight thudding noise comes from the hood after any heavy footsteps. It's on thin carpet and this has only just started to happen.
It's worrying me so much that whenever anyone tries to come in I have to shout at them to tip-toe because I just feel as if the tank is unstable or it's going to fall over.

I would like to know whether others have experienced this and whether theres a risk my tank could give my carpet a nice bath!

Thanks,

At the time no, I should get a spirit level on the tank sometime.
Another thing I didn't mention is that I was having a lot of trouble with buzzing noises coming from contact between the hood and the filter. I had to prop the hood up off the glass a bit with a little piece of fake plastic plant. Perhaps this could be the source of the shaking, thudding noise?
