now before i set about destroying my plants i would like to know is it okay to just trim my wisteria at about half way up the stem as it seems to be growing at an alarming rate, dont want to kill it off just wanted to make sure its okay before i did it :)

Yes i chop my wisteria about all over the place. Just plant the cutting anywhere in the tank, and it will just keep growing and root no problem. My ol stems seem to just grow new shoots.
Ive started replacing the old parts of the plant, with the new cuttings. I think you have to be some one special to kill a wisteria lol
