i got 16 rummy nose tetras today as well as 2 koi angels, but when i got them home i noticed a glo tetra in with the rummys, they are in the tank now, and he is swimming with the rummys as if he is one, i have large neon tetras his size in there, and another fish about that size that was in the bag about 6 months ago with my guppies, but hes not playing with anyone else, although i dont mind him staying, do you think he would be better off back in the shop tank with his pals? as i am not planning to go and buy a shoal for him to play with
or is he ok on his own

I got a glowlight with some zebra danios ages ago and took the poor thing back after a few weeks.

Even with the other tetras in the tank he hid in the corner and only ever came out for food. In the past when I've had odd tetras (usually after some die) they have been fine and were pretty social, but I think it's different when the fish is so suddenly removed from a larger shoal and placed in a new environment.

I'd take him back :good: .

I don't think it makes much difference, the sooner the better but it's not extremely pressing so just as soon as you have time :good:
