hello.... just bought a bunch of java mos and decided to attach it to a couple of my driftwwod using cotton...i just wanted to know if what i did was right and if it is, how long should i be expected to leave the cotton thread on there??
P.S. does the thread have to be pulled really tight or can the thread just be wrapped around the javamoss and driftwood just enough to stop it floating up???
Thankyou in advanced...

I also have spare java moss wrapped in a ball floating at the surface of my aquarium...any suggestions welcome of what to do with it...thankyou again.

Looks fine mate. The thread will aventually rot off so you don't to worry about taking it off. With the spare java moss you could tie it to some cork bark which can then float of the surface. Looks really good, the moss hanging down from the surface.

....im goin to do a bit of both of your suggestions....im gon wrap a bit around cork or a WOODEN PADDLEPOP stick if thats alright and might buy a piece of slate made of rock or sumthin to create a small carpet...im still looking at more things to do with the rest if there are still leftovers... thanks again for ur help..:)

I bought a 4in. by 4in. chunk of corkwood. It now looks like an oasis floating around my tank. My bettas love hiding under it. The java moss will hang down like vines.

You will see soon enough that Java Moss will attach itself to anything. I've even had it grow up the side of the tank, sticking to the glass. I took a clump of moss and buried it a bit in the corner of the tank. Try it, it looks cool.

Beware of the filter. Java moss sucked in to a filter can be a nasty little pest. Oh, and good luck if you ever decide to get rid of it. Damn near impossible.

Where about can you buy this corkwood?? what is the best way of tying the javamoss to the corkwwod? do u leave some strands hanging or do u just tie around it in knots?? And sticking to the glass, i never knew it would be possible lol...il try buring it for the moment because it has a possibility of getting sucked into the filter as it free floats...but a quick question about that... wont the base of the java moss be hidden from sunlight which will eventually kill off the bottom half of the java moss ball??? i dno if this is a good idea but im thinking of wrapping java moss around the tube that brings air to my buble wall so it will blend in more....newayz, thanx for givin ur suggestions and i might give them a try once i get the time....:)
