I'm looking at getting back into live plants again and have a huge Block of slate, will Javafern/moss and anubas roots grip onto it?
Gonna get some swords and vallis for the rear/sides of the tank and some fine leaved plants for the foreground.

You will need to attach them with something.

If you can easily get the slate out f the tank dry it off and use the gel type superglue.

If you can't then some invisible thread or fishing line works well.

Yea I will take the block out gonna do it when the bigger tank gets here, whats the small valis looking plants called?

OMG Just been looking through the Gallery on the site....I would give my firstborn for a tank like them!!!

yes they will look nice in your foreground!

Try planting them in clumps of odd numbers!

I used a dot of superglue to attach my anubis rhizome to a rock. worked great. I'm too OCD to use string since its visible for so long.

Whats the name of the superglue? I know I need to look for a certain ingredient but not sure of then name of it.

Found this quote on google:

cyanoacrylate (super Glue) is completely fish tank safe. Reef Keepers use it to glue live coral pieces to rocks.

That is exactly right.

I used it about 1000 times when I kept corals and also now use it for attaching plants. Just make sure it is the gel type (not because of some secret ingredient - just because the normal stuff is too runny)

Cool cheers will go out and get some when I get the plants :good:

Lol Good. I am pretty sure I first read about superglue in the marine section. But I didn't catch anything about it being dangerous. Was pretty scared for a minute.
