I have a tank with around 80 - 100 red cherry shrimp and wondered if I introduced some crystal red bee shrimp would they cross breed and would I end up with a tank full of odd looking shrimp as at the moment all my cherries are bright red?

I`m not 100% but going by what I was told about the crystal bee shrimps, 'apparently' if they`re mixed with RC`s they`re at risk of being killed. Don`t quote me though because I don`t know for sure.

The Crystals are meant to be more sensitive and not as hardy as the RC`s.

I have the RC`s myself and also thought about mixing the Crystals with them but was advised not to

They wont cross breed but the RCS being a lot greedier and more boisterous than the more sensitive CRS means the CRS dont tend to thrive and breed well and are best kept with their own kind. They need slightly different water params too.
