This is my selection.

3.......Siamese Tigers/ or Silver sharks not sure yet
3........Clown loach
1........Pims Catfish
1 or 2........Angel Fish..(not sure which species yet)


I have a feeling that the Loaches can only go with the Sharks....Am i correct?
The tigers will not.

What kind of landscape is best for above.

I forgot to mention all will be started at the same size around 2-3 inches

im not shure about the majority of your fish, but i know that angelfish (i keep them myself) have really delicate fins, and often are fin nipped... check if some of those fish will pick on the angelfish. You can also find some pretty cool tools on the internet that let you see what fish are compatible with others. not exactly sure were you can download them, but a quick google search may help.

I wouldn't trust that link - anyone that suggests tinfoil barbs and bala sharks for a 29g obviously doesn't know their fish lol.

Theoreticall ythey should be OK, STF are going to grow much bigger than your angels.
What you do have to understand is that STF have much much bigger mouths than angelfish so different feeding regimes are needed.
As you know from your numbers clown loaches need a shoal as they are very sociable creatures, possibly need more clowns but 3 should be OK
I have kept 3 STF together before with little aggression, but you will need to keep an eye on them

After finding out much information its only the angel Fish that should not really be in there.

But i am told that the S/T and the S/S together should be ok. In the same size offcoarse.

So i will have 2 of the S/T and 4 S/S + others mentioned.

I do like clown loaches and have 3 at present i might add two to that.

And 2 pictus Catfish

I think in the size tank i have that's enough with a good variety.


I have another question.

As i am setting up my new Tank is it a good idea to put some of the ocean rock in the smaller tank as when added to the bigger will have some of the nutrients all ready present. Same goes for some built in bog wood plants too.?
