Hi all,
I recently posted about separating angels due to sudden and pretty extreme aggression from one (now rehomed), and this is the one I kept. Thoughts on this pectoral fin recovering somewhat? It sure looks better than it did after she was attacked, it was pretty inflamed at the muscle. Now it's much calmer looking and she's cruising around very well despite it. Also, at what point are these fish out of the woods in terms of infection? I'm doing a small water change every other day to ensure clean water (levels are all perfect) and have a feeling she would have developed one by now if it were to happen, but I've never had a fish this beat up. She lost most of that fin 5 days ago. Thank you!

Healing is possible, but maybe not full regrowing. Fish are pretty resilient in general, but all three of my angels wound up dying quite unexpectedly so I can't really say much about them... They're evil little devils, too. Aggressive and certainly not deserving of their name. If your levels are all good and you're keeping on top of your water changes, she should be fine.

Keep an eye out for disease or abnormalities... If she seems fine, it's likely that she'll bounce back well.
Best of luck to you, keep us updated.

Healing is possible! The pectoral fin is about 2/3 back, and most of her others are almost complete. It was so raw and looked so amputated down to the gill after her attack - she's almost as good as new now. I didn't think it was possible. No medication, just clean water and eliminated/rehomed the assaulting fish. She's no longer hiding, she's totally normal. Thanks for the advice!

Wow, that's great!

I had a tiger barb with its whole tail missing, effectively a stump.Folk said it would never regrow since there was no tail left.A few weeks later and it was fully regrown.Just leave it be and it will grow back.sorry, not a tiger barb,it was a pentazona barb.
