Will Platies and Mollies breed?

I have a male molly and a female plattie, will they breed or no?

He may try but she will not get pregnant. This has never been documented to have happened. However swords and platies can and have cross bred. HTH

They can try but 90% of the time it won't be successful because they just dont have the same genetics... platies and swords can! gl
