Will My Shrimps Be Ok?

I use PMDD trace as part of my EI dosing and have had no problems with my Amano or Bumblebee Shrimp. I was concerned about the Copper content, but there is no need to worry. Perhaps it could become a problem with overdosing.

I've been using those traces as part of my EI dosing routine and have kept cherry shrimp for over a year with no problems. In fact they are breeding like mad. Just make sure you do regular large water changes to prevent levels from building up.

as far as i know copper is very lethal to shrimp and snails

but with only 0.23% i dont think it would hurt

There ammano shrimp, also hows best to add it do you make it up in a bottle or do you make it as you need it? And do you add it daily or weekley?

I can`t remember what strength of dosage I use (I read from a thread by Richard of Aquaessentials), but I add 5ml dissolved in RO every other day. Perhaps if you mailed Richard on the AE forum, he might be able to help you. It is strange that there is an online calculator for phosphates and nitrates, but not trace.

I think the thread you're referring to had Richard from AE quoting 1 tablespoon of powder to 500ml water... Found this one, not the one I was looking for, but does explain it all.

If following EI then you'd dose 3 times a week.
