Hello all, I have a 29G freshwater tank. It is stocked with:

1 - Angelfish
1 - Pleco
1 - Rainbow Shark
2 - Pearl Danios
6 - Columbian Tetras
2 - Red Spotted Swordtails (one male one female)

Now I know that there should be a 2:1 female ratio but did not find that out until after buying everything and ran out of spare money. 2 weeks ago the female swordtail was pregnant and gave birth to some fry (never seen how many and none survived) I have since rearranged the setup thinking they didnt have enough places to hide. So I went out and bought some small rocks that I piled up. I also have hornwort growing in the tank, some weighted to the bottom and some floating tied to the corner to stop it from moving throughout whole tank.
Now my question is, does this setup look like itll give some fry the chance of surviving? Im not worried about them all, I would just like to have one or two survive at least and possibly save me the money from buying another female.

There is more to the tank on the right but couldnt get a clear pic of it all.

If they have plenty of hiding spaces then some of them should survive.
You could also float a plant at the top of the tank. Mine used to hide there.
Or buy a breeding box with a lid.
Becareful when preforming a gravel vac as some hide under the substrate.
I set a quarantine tank up for my fry.

Make sure they can't get into your filter.
You might need to put some netting over the outlet pipe.

Java moss is excellent for fry to hide in.

I once thought I'd lost all my platy fry too until I put a huge java fern in the tank and then suddenly there were about 4 that I'd never spotted before (luckily neither had the mama platy!) that had managed to get to it safely. The fastest and strongest should make it with some hiding places.
