I know... there's fish in there... but still- the ammonia is always nuts, no nitrites or nitrates.... it's coz there's too many fish in there- isn't it? once i move everyone into the big tank... i'm totally fishless cycling this little one if it doesn't get it's act together. -_- poor fishies.

What fish do you have in the tank, you are not doing any maintanance on the tank are you.

maintanance as in daily water changes? yeah, i am. sometimes twice daily depending on the ammonia level. the fish list is in my signature. i know the pleco shouldn't be in there, but once the 75 gallon is cycled, he's movin' out.

What type of plec, they are big waste producers, did your nitrites raise then fall to 0

nope. in fact, they've never risen. he's a common pleco. he's brown and orange. (i've tried to look him up before, but i can't ever find a picture that looks like him! ... or her?)

i'm wondering if i should just wait it out and cycle their tank once the 75 gal is done. coz this is ridiculous.

hm. i'll check the lfs today. i'm going to see what decorations they have for tanks. out of curiosity, how will this affect the ammonia levels/ lack of bacteria in the tank? what about the fish?

You mean the bio spira stuff it will speed things up, as the fish will only get stressed if things carry on the way they are it needs speeding up.
