Ok, so I'm scraping off the algae in my oscar's tank, but for some reason, he got startled and slammed right into the rock I have in there, after that, he seemed really dazed. Is he going to be alright? I seriously want to make sure he's ok, because when I fed him after that, he never touched the bloodworms or the pellets.

Typical oscar behavior. When something happens that they don't like, they pout. Sometimes mine is fine with water changes, other times he trashes the tank. Afterwards he pouts & sulks, just like a kid who has to clean his room, then a parent comes along & rearranges their treasures. Give him a day, I thought mine was going to come through the side of the tank the first few times he did it.

yeah he'll be fine, they're tough brutes, can stand up to a lot. I came down the other morning to find he's headbutted something and gouged a big chunk out of his head :S I was terrified, you could see right through to the flesh, it looked awful. But he was happy as larry and it started healing properly within just a few days. What I've found with O's is because they do have they're little temper tantrums make sure there's nothing sharp in the tank they can hurt themselves on and that there's somewhere big enough for them to hide if they wanna go off and sulk. Then just leave them to it.

:good:

One of my oscars jumped out the tank today! Half off him got out the water. I'm thinking when they get bigger they will probably bash themselves on the glass struts across the top of the tank.

p.s. AFI rock :)

Why does the red arrow in the "Rise Against" picture point downward?
