I bought a new "Breed 'n' Show 4 Way Tank" today which is for Betta display, breeding trap, isolation and fry nursery.

At the moment i have got my Betta in it, but i bought it to use as a fry nursery.

It has cuts in the bottom of it that are 1mm wide and i am just wondering if guppy fry will be able to escape through the holes?

Thanx For Any Help

Chris

What other fish do you have in the tank that you are isolating the betta from? I'm not sure about guppie fry but I know mollie fry can swim through the slots in the breeding traps. If you have 2 tanks, i would leave the betta in the 4 gal and keep the trap for the babies.

If you don't have another tank maybe you could use a cup or something. I don't think guppies can slide through that small of a crack but I wouldn't take a chance with it.

The other fish are listed in my siggy under the 15 gallon (UK) tank.

im gunna set him free later to see if he is ok with my other fish unless someone tells me different
