Will Co2 Affect Oxygen Levels?

Hi,
Ive had a phase of whitespot recently in my tank,but think it has passed on(fingers crossed)! My plants arent doing well at all,except for the plants at the front.
I want to get a Co2 system,like the nutrafin one thats around £15. My question is ,would the c02 lower the levels of oxygen. Ive had a few losses due to a lack of o2 from meds and dont want any more losses!

I diffuse pressurised CO2 in to my tank to achieve a level of 30ppm and my fish are very comfortable with this. At these levels of CO2, I don`t think lowering O2 is an issue. In fact, with CO2 injection my plants bubble off O2, otherwise known as pearling.

The amount of dissolved oxygen is independant of the amount of dissolved oxygen, so by injecting the CO2 you are not pushing O2 out of the water.

You can buy test kits but some people are dubious of their accuracy from what Ive found. This article offers a method but I havnt tried it myself as I have not gone down the CO2 injection route yet.
