My 37 gallon has been cycled for bout a week, this past weekend I was just going out to pick up some plants to finish my aquascaping.

Time was a big reason why I did not add any fish, there are 3 stores in my area I would stake out and compare b4 buying (even though I end up buying from same place)

I have decided to go with angels, and was going out to buy some in week or so. In the meanwhile I have continued to feed my tankammonia to keep bacteria going.

To the point

I was out my looking had this beautiful angelfish (will post pic this weekend) could not pass her up. So I bought the angel came home planted tank did 30 percent water change, added her all is well.

Now will angelfish be lonely until I find good stock of angels?

I will add some rams this weekend cause I know her waste output will not equal the ammonia that was being added and I dont want bacteria to die off.

But will she suffer being alone? :dunno:

No I doubt it! If anything she'll probably enjoy having her own tank for the time being and getting loads of attention from you! She'll be fine until you get more angels don't worry! :D

No, she won't get lonely. But, she will have established the tank as HERS. When you get more angels, don't get just one or she'll probably pick at it pretty mercilessly. Get 2-3 and try to get them all the same size as the one you have.

Fish don't have the brain capacity to experience lonliness. Schoaling fish are generally the prey of their biotope, and instincts inform them that the larger the group they are in, the greater their chances of survival. A lone one gets stressed, but not lonely. Angels are the preditor in their biotope, so they experience no such instinct.
