Will African Clawed Toad Eat Live Fish?

Hi all

I have a problem with fish dissappearing all of a sudden.

I am inclined to blame a rather large african clawed albino toad as i have seen it eat a dead fish in the past but it would appear that something is killing and eating my other fish.

Has anyone else come accross a similar problem?

The only other possibilty is a silver shark that i have in there, but i've always thought of them as friendly.

Yes your clawed frog will eat anything it can fit in its mouth.

African Clawed Frogs love to eat live fish and are sometimes fed live feeder fish as part of their diet. I suggest that you get it into a 10 gallon tank of its own as soon as possible.

I'm a bit supprised as I've had it in a communal tank for about 3 years and it is only the last week or 2 that i've noticed fish going missing.

I've set my spare tank up for it so hopefully saved a few lives
