Will A Pair Of Dwarf Gouramis Do Well In Community Tank?

I would like to add a pair of dwarf gouramis to my community tank. I have read to get two males or two females, so the male won't chase the female to death. Will a pair of gouramis get along in a community tank with some platies, danios, African dwarf frogs and a couple of corys?

The addition of the pair will complete my tank, and be the 'centerpiece'. Thanks for any advice on the compatibility.

Dwarf gouramis will get along fine with your other fish. Gouramis generally are agressive only with their own kind, in my experience

Are dwarf gouramis supposed to be kept in pairs? I only have one, and he's doing fine in my community tank.

One will be fine. I've kept one male for the longest time and he gets along fine
