Will a common pleco eat live plants?

Hello,

Just off to the LFS, and I am going to be purchasing lvie plants for the first time. I was wondering, I have a common pleco, will he eat the plants?

Depends on the plants!
My common leaves the plants in his tank alone, but he's very well fed.

No mine dont eat plants but they will eat any algae or tasty looking dead areas on them.

Hi Mate,

I have four plecos, and they love to eat the plants as well as wafers.

mine never affected the plants as far as I know, but then I may not even have a common pleco after all.
