so i was outside on the lake behind my house looking for rock or drift wood to put into my new tank, when i see these lil black and white fish swimming around with the minnows, i was already to actually catch some minnows as starter fish for my tank ( i like using them cause when the tank is cycled and ready for other fish i just release them into my lake again.

i havent seen these black and white fish, the look like guppies, i caught 3 2 of them are silverish grayish and only one is the white and black spotted.

im taking the silver ones out, incase they are guppies and the silver are females i dont want fry in the tank, i want an all male guppy tank.

any idea of what fish it is let me see if i can get a decent pic

You'll probably need to post a pic before anyone can help... Saying the colours and that they look a bit like guppies is about as good as you'll get back...

Hi Brujo :)

We have a couple of members here who live in Florida and do dip netting. I hope one of them might see your thread and help with the identification. In the meanwhile, here are a few of their threads you might find interesting.
