I was reading THIS and wondered how good this would be for my fish. I would like to feed them something different from pellets and flake and also frozen bloodworm/brine shrimp etc but is it safe?

I would like to know whether it is safe to feed the wrigglers from my water butt to them... I think they're mosquito larvae. Should be ok from what I have read, but is there anything I need to be careful of? Does anyone else do this?

I used to have a friend who would keep a barrel outside just for getting mosquito larve and he never had any problems that i no of

I fish mosquito larve out of my pond on a regular basis and feed the fish - never had any problems either . i put some tank water in an ice cream tub then net the larve straight into that , then tip it in. Better not to add any mucky water. :good:

Well I fed them the larvae and they loved it so I will be feeding them a lot more free live food from now on!
