I'm really wanting to get a wild crown tail or half moon betta for a 20 gallon tank I'm setting up and have a few questions. FIrst, do I need to do anything different as far as filtration or water conditions? Should I just keep the betta by itself or will a wild betta be ok with other short finned captive or other wild fish (that are compatable)? I'm planning on the tank being extensively planted. I'm assuming I would want to feed the betta what it would eat in the wild...what would that be? Thanks.

I have one where do you live I will give him to you I bought him and he was supposed to be a female turns out he was captured and his fins are still short hes not fully grown yet.He is to mean I have to keep him in a gallon vase because he rednecks every one of my fish he almost killed my female. If you do find one I hope you have a tank bigger enough for him alone because you wont be able to keep him with nothing else. they are little      'sssss

I'm in seattle WA and I would love to take him off your hands. It wouldn't be for another 2-3 weeks because I have three other tanks I'm trying to set up and I don't want to use one of my 20 gallon tanks for just one fish. But I would like to set up a 10 gallon for him. If you want you can email me at joshuaquestad@hotmail.com and I can let you know when I could be ready to take him.
