I was walking beside a lake today and I saw a little lizard (assuming it was a salamander) swimming around in the water. I know that the answer to this question is almost definitly going to be no but i'll ask anyway. If I caught one of the little guys and put him in my tropical tank would he die or kill my other fish. I probably wouldn't try it even if it would be ok because they seem so happy in the lake and I don't want to put them in a tiny little aquarium.

Depends on the Salamander, some need a little bit of land, and some don't need water at all.

I have a Fuzhong Warty Newt, he fine with my fish, but I have danio's and WCMM, witch are to fast for him to catch anyway.

Any chance of getting a pic??

I could take a pic but unless I actually catch the little guy first it will be of him still in the lake is this sufficient

I saw several and all of them were in the water which is what made me think that they might be mostly aquatic
