Ok firstly I'm gonna make a request....Please use puncuation! No full stops made me almnost wanna gasp for breath! And it makes following the post much harder.
As for sizes I have to go with personal experience so others may feel different. The males are the same soze as the females. The females tend to look bigger simply because of their extra depth and general roundness compared to the males. I'd say BB is the tiniest bit longer then the girls but it's really only a very tiny amount, nothing most would notice unless you managed to get them to all form a line next to each other. The girls look bigger most of the time because of the reason I stated before.
Also, a dominant female will tend to be the biggest of the female group due to hormones they release. Same goes with males. Hence why a group of same age fry will have some much bigger then others.
Also I'd say the fact there were fry in your males bubblenest a day after the pair were introduced seems a tad unlikely. Are you absolutely sure she's the mother? Is it possible another female is responsible for those fry?
Hugs,
P.

first off im sorry for my spelling and typing and no puncuation and No full stop (i suck at that as i told u and i think it was sylvia a fair time back when i said at that time i would stop posting if its going top be a problem :X .........as for if she was the mother it was three times shes had fry 2 im 100% shore were her cuz i put just her in with a male the last time i was trying breed the golds i was haveing no luck after a week i put the brown in there with the 2 golds next day there were fry all times its been a blue male and brown female every time brown fry and every time its only taken a day rownds about oh wait its been 4 times not three cuz the first time was when i was just geting into gouramis and with a water change all the fish i had at that time died of shock i think it was shock... apart from the 2 gouramis i had my tank had nuthing in there (points out at the start i only had few fish some guppys and a few mollys and 2 small shark) any way when they were by them self they started breeding alot when i saw the fry i took the female out and put her in the small tank i had i have made that the breeding tank now any way after a few days i had to move the male back in with her cuz he was starting to get intrested in eating the fry after puting him back in the small tank the next day there was a bubble nest and i did not check till the next day but when i looked there were fry in there as well sighs i was intruble then cuz i had no where to put the adults cuz i could not leave them together i put one in each tank the female did not eat the fry in her tank so they got to go to the pet store when bigger but all but 2 in the tank the male was in got turned in to his food lucky they dont seem intrested in breeding when there with lots of other fish rownd there size in a tank (oh and whats up Miss Dib Dabs u been gone for a bit?)

Males do typicaly end up longer than females and also have longer fins over-all. However, like Miss Dib Dabs said, females are fatter. Having said that, some fish simply don't grow as much as others. This can be for a variety of reasons. For example, stunting at a young age or a poor diet can lead to fish not reaching their full size. Similarly, if a fish becomes ill or is very stressed, it's body will use the energy from food to fight the disease rather than for growth. I'm not sure about the hormone theory - dominant fish tend to be dominant because they are the largest - not the other way round.
