Is it possible that your Rams are spawning? Rams will become quite aggressive and territorial when spawning, particularly when in tight quarters.

The tank to small for skirt tetra they need at least 20 gallons.

Hi,
a few things,
1 the filter died so i put all the media in a new filter
2 no, the rams are hiding too, not breeding, but they have before
and 3, i know 12 gallons is to small for the tetras, i'm waiting for some room in one of my tanks.
thanks

What are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

i think it was a small ammonia spike, they are fine today plus there is a LOT of junk in the filter (cleaned out)
thanks for the help everyone.

I would rehome the skirt tetra and replace they with bigger shoals of fish.
Good luck.
