Why My Plants Do Not Pearl?

i used to have a planted tank 2 years ago. At that time, i use a normal daylight tube from B&Q and a aquatic tube together. i remember that time all the plants grow mad, always pearl. Even i do not dose any ferterlise etc.

Recently i decide to back to plant tank. this time, i use same co2, but 3 6400k tube. However, the plants do not pearl at all, why?

BTW, i just put the light on today for 5 hours. maybe i am too impatient?

Apparently most plants hardly recognise light which has been on for - 4 hours ,so that is probably your problem.Most people have their light on for about 10 hrs a day.What WPG have you got btw?

I'm no expert on plants,maybe someone else could help?

It is 16 G with 3 X24w tube. so make it 4.5 wpg. I think it is enough, and the CO2 bubble a lot. fish are active, just the plants do not pearl. May be i should wait a little longer

Do you know your CO2 level? What ferts are you dosing, with that much light you'll need lots of nutrients.

no idea, but co2 bubble a lot, compared to my old planted tank. i did not does any fertiser yet.

But i remember i did not dose either for the old one.

BTW, i noticed just now, my ricca seems to pearl

However HC still looks awuful
