Why is she doing this?

My female pregnant guppy Jet looks like she will drop any day! She has a huge belly and her grvid spot is big and BLACK. I can even see some tiny dots within the gravid spot which i'm guessing are the fry. However i noticed yesterday and today that she is swimming kind of to one side like she is too fat to swim normally!
Why is she doing this?

im not to sure...ive never heard of that...its probably just cause she heavilly pregnant...i dunno

I have heard that it could be her 'change in behaviour' like she will drop very soon? I dont know though maybe it is.

just keep a close eye on it. ive had fish waddle around the tank before giving birth. hopefully it is because of pregnancy and not a disease

yeah i hope so, her poop canal has been poking out for quiet some time even when poop isnt coming out and the gravid spot goes all the way to the very back, its low also. are these all good signs?
i heard that they are most likely to have their babies at night, when i turn the light out it isnt completely dark in the tank because the light in the other room is always on, shall i put some sort of towl over the tank to make it pitch black or will she have them anyway?

not sure. usually i go to sleep and feed my fish in the morning to find them

yes most fish prefer to give birth at night. iv never pit a towl over the tank thogh. u can try it, it might just be wat shes waiting for.

and yes, heavely pregnant fish do tend to wadle b4 giveing birth.

sometimes they will give birth at night.my balloon female gave birth during the day.it all depends on the fish.but yep all those symptoms soud like shes going to drop anytime soon.

Ok thanx for that. I've heard that a whitish substance is released just before birth, can anyone explain this to me a little more for example is it noticeable and what it looks like etc.
