It might well be down to him being the only 1 of 2 remaining danios I have left.....I had to return 2 to LFS ages ago and recently put 2 down for columnaris that I couldn't cure.
So I have one male and a female remaining....but the male is like super super fast today, still chasing the female as normal, just a bit weird as he seems like he's been sped up.....would this be to do with the low numbers?

I'm planning to return the pair to LFS soon because I want something less suseptable to illness, other fish in the tank are a male fighter, a pitbull pleco and 5 neon tetra (sectioned off from rest of tank for fin nipping)

It might be stress related, is everyone else acting normal? Any recent changed?

they'd just had a water change and some meds in.....was probably that, he seems a bit less manic again now, everyone else is fine, and everyone including the male was eating fine....he's not breathing heavy or anything....was just acting like a maniac lol

That's good. I think it goes without saying that you should keep an eye on him.

My danios act like that sometimes for no apparant reason. They must be maniac fish :p

yeah they are maniacs anyway, he's been a bit less manic since earlier and now the lights are out he's back to the danio normal for when the lights are out.
Will keep my eyes on him though, hopefully he'll be fine for going back to LFS at end of the week :)
