why is his fin bloody?

My 1st walmart rescue is so sick. He has like a fungas on a little patch and today he had a streak of blood in his fin. What should i do i only have salt and he is in his own tank with soft natural plants. He wont eat anymore. Plz help.

Sounds like an infection that's getting worse.

Can you get to a fish store and get some meds?
That's probably about your only hope.

It sounds like he's got a couple of things - the red streaks on the fins mean an internal infection - and the fungus is probably.. well, fungus.

If he were my fish, and I could treat him - I'd get some anti-fungus meds in there and an infection med. So, I'd probably us MarOxy with Maracyn Two. Now... about any anti-fungus med would work, but I'd really see if you can get ahold of some Maracyn Two.

Is that possible?
