Every time I add my fertilizer tabs my water turn cloudy. Why does this always happen. My CO2 is bout 20ppm. I have 2x 65 watt plant growth bulbs. My pH is 7.2

tabs? what tabs? are u just dropping them in? or do you burry them in the gravel?

are your phosphates high? whats the reading? don't have a phosphate kit? you need to get one for a planted tank.

I use Plant Tabs. Thats what there are calle. I just drop them in. Not sure about my phosphate level. I need to buy one.

I believe you are suppose to stick them into the gravel, that's why they are root tabs.

Oh sorry, I assumed they were root tabs. Are you using the ones made by Jungle? I've read somewhere that their tabs and root tabs don't work well at all, but I'm not sure.

If it doesnt have the instructions then i would bury em regardless. It will still dissolve and be carried into the water column anyways even if buried.

Thats what i would do anyways.

But just FYI, root tabs when unburied also cloud the water slightly...until it settles down.

if theyre actually tablets i'd bury them. generally if the fert is in solid form it is designed for slow release ie will fill your substrate with the good stuff. break each tab into 4 and bury with tweezers. if the fert is meant for the water column it would be sold in liquid form.

i use jbl ferrotabs and they do cloud the water if not buried properly.
