This was my set up:

8 UK Gallon tank
8 x Tiger Barbs
1 x Black Shark (with red tail)
1 x Silver Shark

The tank was fine for about a month, then suddenly a tiger barb died for no apparent reason a couple of weeks ago. More recently another Tiger Barb has perished, and last night my Silver Shark died too. My water stats for Ammonia, Ph, Nitrite, Nitrate are fine, and always have been.

This is my tank:

Is there anything obvious I could be doing wrong?

Pauly.

Um, whats wrong :/ You do realise the tiger barbs need a 30g minimum, the RTBS is very aggressive, especially to other sharks and needs a 40g minimum and the silver shark is very active, needs to be in groups, grows to 14" and needs a 180g minimum? Obviously not

and oohfeeshy is referring to US gallons, not UK gallons. your tank is 9 US gallons. still far far too small for any of the species of fish you own.

in a 9 gallon you could keep a group of endlers maybe, or a lone betta. anything under 10 US gallons has very limited stocking.

I have never put a shark in anything less than a 55. I have 4 barbs in a 55 and I have had them for a long time and they are fine. Same with my 2 sharks.
