everytime i have fry, 3 drops so far totalling(That i have found) 30 fry, i have only 2 survivors, one a dalmation mollx is now about 2 months and in main tank and growing well and the other is around a week old.i always transfer my fry too a breeding trap within the main tank. i can safely say that pretty much all 28 dead fry i have seen havd looked like they have exploded?what am i doimg wrong?

but they are not born like it, they usually die after a few days when the small white blob appears, usually around their head, literally like something has exploded? so it doesnt seem like a birth defect too me???

i culd sound thick here but are they balloon molie maybe thyere growing too fast :S,
i dont think they explode by over feeding so couldnt be that :S

you are probarly feeding to much food the ueaten food is polluting the water in your breeding trap.
feed less food .

I usually put in some fine crushed flakes and liquifry once every 2 days, perhaps your right, I will try doing less, and Im not sure if these ones are balloons or not, all my previous drops were defo dalmation mollies, this one could be dalmation, balloon or platy!!

i've had a fry die and his stomach was very big and had a red blood spot in it (exploded). i'm not sure what the cause was i feed them twice a day only and very very small amounts. the only thing i can think of is i gave them bloodworm too soon.

:S

It will be best to stop the liquifry it’s easy to pollute the water with it,
Livebearers don’t need liquifry.

The bloodworm probley killed it.
small fry can easy choke on worms

yes, but the bloodworm was grounded up into powder like flower, as it was very easy to do that more so with the flake food.

Liquifry is too small for livebearer fry. When I crush flakes, I throw away the juice as well. It just pollutes the water.

Platy fry are born smaller than mollies.
