both my betta childern yawn from time to time. now i know alot of creatures do this but i am surprised to see it in fish.
so what do you think?

all fish do it, usually after they wake up. You often see it in newly imported fish. They suffer from jet lag and spend a lot of time sleeping and adjusting to the different time zones. When you turn the tank lights on you often see them yawning and stretching their fins after having a nap. You get some good photos when they do it because their mouths are open and their fins are fully stretched out.

I'm new to bettas, and haven't noticed the yawning - I've only just managed to get Archie to flare - but will be watching out for the yawning in the moring! I'm not conviced that I believe that they suffer from Jet Lag though lol! :)
