I have several different kinds and don't like any of them!

The metal ones don't fit right with the hoods on my aquariums.
The floating ones are never where you can read them.
The suction cup types never stay where you put them.
The stick on types stop working and don't show a temperature.

I'm looking at a digital thermometer in the Drs. Foster and Smith catalog for $5.59, but I'm wondering if it'd even work.

Just my early morning vent of the the day. ;)

Yea get a digi.

They stick on the outside of the glass and the wire is skinny enough to fit under a closed hood.

Mostly b/c people dont' want to pay the money for a good one.

imho this is the best

I have digital thermometers on all of my tanks and highly recommend them. :good:

glass suction are the ones i rely on the most since digitals could go haywire and you not knowing about it, a combination of the glass suction and the digital would be great though.....

Looks nice, I haven't seen that brand here in the US but I'll look for it. Thanks.
I use glass ones with suction caps and mine stay in the right place.
Maybe I just got bad ones, I don't know. I even tried the boiling water trick to get the suction cups to stick again, didn't work.

I think I'll try leaving one of my metal ones on the gravel, like I have been, and getting a digital.
