:/ my fishs' gills all look so red, not pus, just reallyred in my 5 gal that i've had running for 5 mos now i have 1 mickey mouse, 1 drawf frog, 1 cory cat , and about 10 week and a half old babies :D the ammonia is 0, nitrate 175, nitrite 0, hardness 300 (very hard),alkalinity 140, ph 7.0..... in my 10 gal that i've had running for about 2 and a half months i have... 1 mickey mouse, 2 tigar barbs , 1 neon, 1 zebra danio, and 1 blu lobster......can anybody give me some suggestions -_- thanks in advance
 
Your nitrate shouldn't be that high. An acceptable range is <50 ppm. Do a large water change and keep doing large water changes until it is below 50. I'm sure you'll see a great improvement.

might be worth doing a nitrate test on your tapwater whilst you are at it - you might find that it goes high from time to time. My local tapwater is quite unreliable
